RS Electrical Group
Electrical Safety Inspections and Certifications Perth
RSEG provides electrical safety inspections for homes, rental properties, businesses and suitable industrial sites across the Perth metropolitan area. Based in Southern River, our licensed electricians can assess the visible and accessible parts of an electrical installation to identify damaged equipment, ageing components, inadequate protection and other issues that may require maintenance or further investigation.
An electrical safety inspection may include the switchboard, circuit breakers, RCD safety switches, smoke alarms, power points, switches, lighting, accessible wiring and earthing arrangements. The exact checks and testing completed depend on the property, reason for the inspection and agreed scope.
RSEG can assist with inspections for:
Older properties
Pre purchase assessments
Rental property maintenance
Properties being prepared for sale
Renovations and extensions
Repeated electrical faults
Commercial and managed properties
Properties adding solar, batteries, EV charging or air conditioning
Warning signs such as repeated circuit tripping, flickering lights, heat, buzzing, burning smells, damaged fittings or electric shocks should be investigated promptly rather than waiting for a routine inspection.
A standard inspection is generally visual and non invasive. Concealed wiring behind walls, beneath floors or in inaccessible areas cannot always be fully assessed without additional access or specialist testing. If concerns are identified, RSEG can recommend fault finding, repairs, switchboard work or further investigation.
After the inspection, findings can be explained or documented according to the agreed service. An inspection report is not the same as an Electrical Safety Certificate. In Western Australia, an Electrical Safety Certificate relates to qualifying electrical installation work that has been completed, checked and tested; an inspection alone does not automatically generate one.
Any electrical repairs or alterations identified during the inspection must be completed by appropriately licensed electrical workers.
