Residential Solar Panels and Battery Storage Perth

RSEG designs and installs residential solar panel and battery systems for homes across the Perth metropolitan area. Based in Southern River, our team can assess your electricity use, roof layout and future energy requirements to recommend a system suited to the property rather than relying on a standard package.

A well designed solar system can reduce the amount of electricity purchased from the grid by generating power during daylight hours. The most suitable system size depends on factors such as household consumption, roof orientation, available space, shading, electricity tariffs and when energy is normally used.

RSEG can install solar panels, inverters, hybrid inverters, battery storage, monitoring equipment and associated switchboard protection. We can also assess existing solar systems when homeowners want to add a battery, increase capacity or prepare for future electrical loads such as an EV charger, pool equipment or split system air conditioning.

Battery storage allows excess solar energy to be saved for use later, commonly during the evening or overnight. A battery may also help reduce grid consumption during higher cost periods where time based tariffs apply. However, battery storage is not automatically the most economical option for every household. The likely value depends on electricity usage, solar generation, tariffs, battery capacity and expected operating life.

Standard grid connected solar systems generally shut down during a power outage for safety. Backup power requires a compatible battery system, inverter, switching arrangement and nominated backup circuits. Not every battery installation powers the entire home during an outage, so the intended backup loads should be discussed during system design.

RSEG can coordinate the electrical installation, switchboard assessment and applicable network connection requirements. All work is completed by appropriately licensed and accredited personnel. For qualifying electrical installation work, RSEG provides the required electrical safety documentation in accordance with Western Australian requirements.
