Power Point Installation and Replacement Perth

RSEG provides power point installation, replacement and upgrades for homes, businesses and suitable industrial properties across the Perth metropolitan area. Based in Southern River, our licensed electricians can install additional outlets, replace damaged fittings and improve access to electricity in kitchens, bedrooms, living areas, offices, workshops, garages and outdoor spaces.

Power points can be added where extension leads and power boards are being relied upon regularly, subject to cable access, circuit capacity and the condition of the existing electrical installation. RSEG installs standard single and double outlets, USB and USB C power points, weather resistant outdoor outlets and suitable commercial or industrial socket outlets.

We can also replace power points that are cracked, loose, discoloured, unreliable or no longer hold plugs securely. Warning signs such as heat, buzzing, crackling, sparks, burning smells or scorch marks may indicate damaged connections or wiring and should be inspected promptly. Stop using the outlet and avoid touching it if it appears unsafe.

Adding more power points does not increase the amount of electricity a circuit can safely supply. Where several high demand appliances will be used, the existing circuit and switchboard must be assessed. Equipment such as ovens, cooktops, air conditioners, EV chargers and some workshop machinery may require a dedicated circuit rather than connection to a general purpose outlet.

Outdoor and wet area power points must be suitable for the installation location and expected exposure to rain, dust, moisture and physical damage. Their position should also be planned around doors, furniture, cabinetry, plumbing and how the space will be used.

RSEG can install individual outlets or complete broader electrical upgrades during renovations, commercial fit outs and new installations. All fixed electrical work is completed by appropriately licensed electricians. For qualifying electrical installation work, RSEG provides the required electrical safety documentation in accordance with Western Australian requirements.
